Our program is interactive and co-led by you and the mentors. Each week we will have one small group session, and individual mentoring that is catered to your personal interests and goals.

 

We desire to create a safe space for you to be authentically you, be inspired to dream big, and be empowered to make choices that will help you achieve your personal goals!

This program is provided for 5th – 8th grade GIRLS.

OUTCOMES

  • At least 40% of all youth 5-8 grade who participate in the program 90 hours or more will demonstrate growth in Math and Reading/Language Arts state assessments, andimproved GPA if their unweighted GPA was lower than 3.0 the year before.

  • At least 75% of all students who participate in the program 90 hours or more will experience a decrease in in-school suspensions, demonstrate improvement in teacher-reported engagement in learning, and improve their attendance rate compared to the previous school year.

  • At least 90% of caregivers whose youth participated in the program will report the program offers useful resources and materials; there is always a program staff available to discuss individual youth’s needs; and the program provides an open, welcoming environment for families.

  • At least 75% of all students who participate 90 hours or more in the program report an increase in their self-confidence/ self-esteem, leadership and advocacy skills, care for their community and others, financial literacy, and career interest in STEAM and/or Entrepreneurship.
