Inspiring DYMONs to be EPIC!
Educated. Philanthropic. Impactful. Cultivated.
DYMON is a Nashville based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that strives to close the equity gap for minority students, nurture the whole child (academics, social, emotional, mental, and body), and unlock their purpose and power.
Our Mission: We are committed to providing a safe haven for inner city and minority youth as we refine, enrich, and empower them through mentorship, community outreach, and scholarships.
From the Heart
of our Founder, Chief Executive director
2020 has hit our community mercilessly with the aftermath of the Nashville tornado outbreak, disparities of the COVID-19 pandemic, and pain of the highlighted social injustices. I must acknowledge the overwhelming anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that has hit every home at some level and capacity.
Not to mention the added pressure of virtual schooling. With all of that being said, we may feel discouraged but we are not defeated! We may feel helpless, but we are not hopeless.
DYMON Organization is committed to developing and implementing COVID-19 response protocols in real time. We are putting all our time and resources into supporting, rebuilding, and sustaining our community. Our goal is to not only survive but to thrive in compassion, community, and change as we journey through this unprecedented time.
Remember...It’s a journey not our destination.
I hear you, I see you, I am you.

"Thanks to the Beauty & Brains Scholarship, I have been granted some financial security for college, but beyond this, it has taught me to be grateful for all the opportunities that I have been blessed with. It has shown me how I can be a mentor, providing tips about college, like the organization does. This scholarship has reminded me that there are people other than myself and my family that believe in my future success, and are rooting for me. This scholarship has pushed me to be better, reminding me every time that I wear my pink D.Y.M.O.N. t-shirt to take pride in my intelligence, share my talents with others, and encourage them to do the same.“
